Application and Selection
There are different selection procedures for the following five groups:
- Students at universities, technical universities and comprehensive universities.Students at universities of applied sciences.
- Students at academies of arts
- Students at music conservatories.
- PhD students.
We expect our applicants to
- Show excellent academic performance, as well as a high level of reflection, curiosity and creativity.
- Be thoughtful and critical, to pose questions and to not be satisfied with simple answers, to be prepared to take a stand and to take responsibility.
- Take their path of faith seriously, form their church actively, live with it and stand up for their faith and for others.
Formal conditions for the application are:
- Catholic faith,
- Citizenship of a European Union member state or the status as a resident students with foreign citizenship as stated in BAföG §8,
- Enrolment or authorisation to study at PhD level at a state-approved university within the European Union
- At the time of application, applicants must have completed at least five semesters of study. After the successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree, application is possible directly before beginning a four semester Master’s degree.
The following people can recommend applicants:
- Principals of grammar schools,
- University professors,
- Staff of university pastoral teams,
- Former scholarship recipients
